In a world that celebrates instant results, waiting can feel like punishment. We want answers now, doors opened immediately, and prayers answered on our timeline. But God often works in the waiting\u2014and not a moment of it is wasted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Waiting on the Lord is not passive. It\u2019s an active posture of trust, surrender, and expectation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scripture reminds us:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cTo everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Ecclesiastes 3:1 <\/p>\n\n\n\n Just like the farmer cannot rush the harvest, we cannot rush God\u2019s timing. Seeds planted too early or harvested too soon won\u2019t produce what they were meant to. In the same way, God knows exactly when you are ready for what you\u2019ve been praying for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Waiting seasons are often growing seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s easy to feel forgotten when prayers seem unanswered. But God is never idle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBut they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles\u2026\u201d<\/em>\u2014 Isaiah 40:31 <\/p>\n\n\n\n Notice that this promise isn\u2019t just about receiving what you\u2019re waiting for\u2014it\u2019s about who you become while you wait. Strength is built. Faith is deepened. Character is refined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We often want clarity before obedience. But faith doesn\u2019t work that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cTrust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Proverbs 3:5 <\/p>\n\n\n\n Waiting on God means trusting Him even when things don\u2019t make sense. It means believing that delays are not denials, and closed doors are often divine protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When we grow impatient, we can step outside of God\u2019s will trying to force outcomes. But what God has for you will never require you to strive outside of His timing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There is peace in waiting\u2014because what God ordains, He sustains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cBe still before the Lord and wait patiently for him\u2026\u201d<\/em> \u2014 Psalm 37:7<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stillness doesn\u2019t mean doing nothing. It means quieting your fears, silencing doubt, and anchoring yourself in God\u2019s promises.
